Marketing Account Manager

Department: Marketing Reports To: Senior Marketing Manager and Director of Marketing

Position Summary:

The Marketing Account Manager will be responsible for specific client accounts and will successfully execute all campaign elements on those accounts. This role also involves collaborating with the senior marketing team to implement strategies that align with the company’s objective of delivering world-class campaigns to the highest standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Campaign Development and Execution:

  • Create and deliver marketing campaigns (including media buying with external suppliers) to achieve marketing objectives and increase audience and revenue.
  • Ensure campaigns are tailored to specific regions and demographics
  • Deliver national show launches, on-sales and announcements including working with suppliers to create collateral and manage venue comms
  • Create promotional materials, including posters, leaflets, digital ads, and printed brochures.
  • Ensure venues are supplied with the correct current assets as needed.
  • Manage the day-to-day coordination of a busy artwork studio, liaising between designer, venue and client – ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Send artwork to clients for feedback and sign-off ensuring that all details are thoroughly proofed beforehand
  • Lead regular meetings with touring venues as required and feedback updates and recommendations to Senior marketing team.

Media Management:

  • Management of client social media accounts in collaboration with external suppliers.
  • With external suppliers, coordinate email marketing campaigns, including content creation, segmentation and analysis.
  • Manage external digital agencies ensuring spend and strategies are optimised across all productions.
  • Manage and execute print runs with print suppliers across accounts.
  • Manage and oversee the media production cycle (Radio and TV) including briefing, feedback, trafficking and supply.
  • Grow client’s digital strategy in partnership with agencies to increase audience and revenue.

Event Coordination:

  • Organise and attend promotional events, press nights, and previews in touring locations.
  • Coordinate with the venue’s marketing and PR teams for aligned marketing strategies.

Budget Management:

  • Report on marketing expenditure, ensuring that campaigns remain within allocated budgets.
  • Implement ROI calculations to determine the effectiveness of marketing strategies.
  • Reconcile invoices and maintain up to date records.

Market Research:

  • Conduct research to identify market trends, audience preferences, and regional performance interests.
  • Analyse ticket sales data to inform future marketing decisions.

Reporting:

  • Compile weekly client box office reports and figures trackers.
  • Compile regular ad hoc reports to assess campaign performance, social media engagement, and other relevant metrics.
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on data to optimise future marketing efforts.

General Administrative Tasks:

  • Schedule and attend meetings, liaise with venues and clients, and maintain up-to-date records of all marketing initiatives.
  • In meetings, ensure key client decisions are recorded and notes circulated internally for future reference.
  • Note clear action points from meetings and ensure these tasks are completed ahead of the next meeting.

Ticketing Strategy:

  • Work with venue marketing teams to ensure the best ticketing strategies for shows including dynamic pricing initiatives.
  • Regularly asses pricing, concessions caps and inventory to drive ticket sales.
  • Engage ticket agents and ticketing partners as required.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Theatre, or a related field.
  • At least 4 years prior experience in theatre marketing, preferably in a touring context.
  • Proficient in digital marketing tools and platforms, including social media, email marketing software, and analysis
  • Experience coordinating a busy artwork studio and working with designers.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Flexibility to adapt to the ever-changing environment of live theatre and touring schedules.
  • Passion for theatre and an understanding of its unique appeal to various audiences.
  • Be independent and proactive with your workload and manage shifting priorities to fulfil wider objectives.
  • Uphold excellent working relationships with key client stakeholders to understand expectations and ensure these are met with professionalism.

Additional Requirements:

  • Ability to travel as required based on the touring schedule.
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends, aligned with show schedules and events.

Role:

  • Permanent (probation period of 3 months).
  • Full time (5 days per week).
  • 40 hrs per week (inc breaks).

Working location:

  • Remote with occasional days in London (West End, St Martin’s Lane).
  • We are open to flexible working.

Salary

  • £30k-35k dependent on experience.
